Windermere - Victims Assistance Program
The Victims Assistance Program provides a free service to clients servicing victims who have either experienced or witnessed violent crime. Caseworkers/support workers provide practical assistance, psychological first aid, and make referrals to specialised services and provide case management once services are in place for clients.
The Victims Assistance Program (VAP) is a program that provides confidential information, advice and support for the needs that arise as a direct consequence of a violent crime. This can include family violence, sexual assault, physical assault and homicide.
Windermere is the contracted provider for the Southern Metropolitan Melbourne, Gippsland and regions in the East and West metro areas.
Fees
There are no costs associated with this service.
Eligibility Criteria
This service is eligible to victims of violent crimes perpetrated in Victoria.
