Uniting - Carer Wellbeing

Uniting offers free and flexible support, information, respite and education to carers of a person with mental illness, autism or intellectual disability.

Uniting Vic.Tas is the community services organisation of the Uniting Church, delivering services and programs across Victoria and Tasmania.

Uniting Support for Carers program offers free, flexible support options that can make life just that little bit easier. The aim is to provide support for carers while they care for others.

This service is for any unpaid carers which include anyone who might be caring for a child with a disability, a sibling with mental health needs, parents with an age-related issue like dementia or a relative with a chronic health condition.

Support services include:

  • Short term respite care
  • Access to information and links to other services including counselling
  • Peer support and networking opportunities
  • Education and workshops to help carers in their role

This service is for people who are:

  • Unpaid carers of a person with mental illness, autism or intellectual disability
  • Live in the local government areas of City of Casey, City of Greater Dandenong, Frankston, Cardinia or Mornington Peninsula

This is a free service.
