Yarning SafeNStrong
Yarning SafeNStrong is a free and confidential 24-hour counselling service for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and their families who need to have a yarn with someone about their wellbeing.
Yarning SafeNStrong (YSNS) is a counselling service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and their families provided by the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service.
The Yarning SafeNStrong helpline is available 24-hours, 7 days a week. The telephone service is run by culturally suitable counsellors from the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service so you can yarn safely with people ‘who get it’, no matter how big or small the challenge.
Yarning SafeNStrong offer support with:
- Social and Emotional Wellbeing
- Financial Wellbeing
- Medical support including COVID-19 testing
- Drug and alcohol counselling and rehabilitation services
Eligibility Criteria
This service is available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and their families within Australia.
