Access Health and Community - Doncaster

Access Health and Community provides a range of services to support mental health and wellbeing for individuals, family, and carers. Services include individual counselling, psychology, and mental health support groups tailored to the needs of each person.

Access Health and Community offers a wide range of mental health services to support people experiencing a range of mental health issues, to help them focus on their goals and support their overall wellbeing. Access Health and Community is also there to support family and carers.

The team includes psychologists, social workers, mental health nurses, youth workers, family workers, counsellors and peer support workers.

Services include:

  • Counselling for conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, work-related stress and other issues
  • Alcohol and other Drug Dependence Support
  • Clinician-led Mental Health Support Groups to help individuals learn new ways to manage their mental health
  • Peer-led Mental Health Support Groups run by people with lived experience

This service is available to individuals who:

  • Live or work in the Cities of Boroondara, Knox, Manningham, Maroondah, Monash, Whitehorse and Yarra Ranges
  • Need support with mental health or emotional wellbeing, and
  • Are unable to access or afford private mental health services (such as a private psychologist)

This is a free or low-cost service depending on your needs and situation. Services are free for concession card holders, students under 25 years of age, children under 16 years of age, NDIS participants, and refugees.
