Austin Health - North East Psychiatric Triage Service

North East Psychiatric Triage Service is the initial point of contact for information, assessment and referral for serious and urgent mental health concerns. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for those in the North East of Melbourne.

The North East Psychiatric Triage Service accepts referrals from health professionals, people experiencing a mental health issue, or from people who might be concerned about someone they live or work with, or someone to whom they provide care.

The Triage service can direct you to the appropriate hospital mental health program such as Adult, Children, Youth Mental Health Services or Trauma Recovery Services. They can also suggest a number of mental health advice services for those seeking advice and information on general mental health issues.

Anyone living within Austin Health's catchment area can access the service.
