Banyule Community Health - Aboriginal Health Team
Banyule Community Health's Aboriginal Health Care team delivers a range of services and assist in running programs and groups for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, at their centres and at the Barrbunin Beek Gathering Place.
The Aboriginal Health Team are skilled workers who provide a range of different services and support, including:
- Support to navigate multiple different health professionals and service providers, in a respectful and culturally appropriate way (casework)
- Links to specialist health and welfare services
- Information and advice about chronic health issues
- Early years and maternal child health services
- Child protection advocacy and legal support
- Counselling
- Men’s support worker
Eligibility Criteria
Services are free to access to people of all ages who live, work or study in Banyule or who have links with Banyule Community Health.
