Better Health Network - Women's Family Violence Counselling
Better Health Network offers free and supportive counselling to women who have experienced family violence through their Women’s Family Violence Counselling program. Having extensive experience working in family violence, Women’s Counsellors understand the psychological, emotional and physical impact that can result.
Women aged 18 and over can receive free and confidential counselling for family violence. Strength-based client-centred approaches are used, informed by the following theories:
- Developmental theory
- Attachment theory
- Trauma neurobiology
A variety of women’s groups are available through the family violence program.
Locations include St Kilda, Bentleigh, Prahran, South Melbourne, or phone based.
This service is available to all women 18 years and over who have experienced family violence.
This is a free service.
