Boorndawan Willam Aboriginal Healing Service

Boorndawan Willam Aboriginal Healing Service (BWAHS) provides a range of services and programs to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and families who are experiencing, or at risk of, experiencing or using family violence.

BWAHS is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation and is the lead specialist Aboriginal specific family violence service in the Eastern Melbourne region.

BWAHS programs and activities are designed to encourage holistic healing, provide confidential, culturally sensitive support and assistance and encourage healthy lifestyles. They enable this through family violence education and awareness programs, individual and family support and engaging group activities to nurture and comfort those on a healing journey.

Services are available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families including men, women, children and extended family and include:

  • Men’s Case Management (Family Violence)
  • Women & Children’s Intensive Case Management (Family Violence)
  • Individual Child & Family Services
  • Family Violence Counselling
  • Children & Youth Therapeutic Counselling

This service is available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families in Victoria.

This is a free service.
