Bunjilwarra Koori Youth Alcohol and Drug Healing Service
The Bunjilwarra Koori Youth Alcohol and Drug Healing Service (Bunjilwarra) is a purpose-built alcohol and other drug residential rehabilitation and healing service for Aboriginal young people.
Bunjilwarra is a purpose-built statewide 12-bed alcohol and other drug residential rehabilitation and healing service for Aboriginal young people aged 16 to 25 years old. The service is managed by the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS) and Youth Support and Advocacy Service (YSAS) and with the support of local Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal health services.
Bunjilwarra is staffed by a team of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal individuals with employment experience in alcohol and other drugs, mental health, residential rehabilitation and youth work. This multi-disciplinary team is led by a Program Manager, with support from a Clinical Lead, Cultural Lead, Intake Assessment & Transition Worker and Care & Recovery Workers.
Eligibility Criteria
This service is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people aged 16 to 25 years old.
