eating disorders Victoria - Telehealth Counselling Service

Eating Disorders Victoria offers a Telehealth Counselling service to assist people living with eating disorders and their support people.

Telehealth counselling is available for free 30 minute support phone call check-ins.

The Telehealth Counsellor can provide telephone or Zoom support for up to 5 sessions. Available days are Mondays – Thursday.

When you book an appointment for a support phone call check-in you can expect to receive safe, non-judgemental support from a qualified mental health counsellor. The call can be telephone or on Zoom and each session will last up to 30 minutes. The Telehealth Counsellor can help guide you and provide tailored information and support for your unique situation. Booking are made via the EDV website.

There are no costs associated with this service.

If you are an adult living in Victoria with an eating disorder or you are a parent/family member/friend who is caring for either a child or adult who has an eating disorder, you are able to connect and receive this service.

If you are under 16 years of age: you are required to have an adult (someone over the age of 18) join you for your phone calls.

For callers under the age of 18: If the EDV worker you are speaking to is seriously worried about your safety or the safety of someone else they must, by law, try to keep everyone safe. This means they might have to share their concerns with someone else.
