Narcotics Anonymous
Narcotics Anonymous is a not-for-profit fellowship of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem and who meet regularly to help each other stay clean.
Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings are a gathering of recovering drug addicts, who meet regularly for the purpose of recovery from the disease of addiction.
NA meetings are free and have no affiliation to other organisations. They usually run for 1-1.5 hours at a variety of publicly accessible buildings. Members will speak on any subject related to recovery, sharing their experiences, strength and hope. Sharing is voluntary and participants do not respond to other people’s shares (as in a conversation) but from his or her or their own experience.
There are no fees or membership associated with the meetings. The only requirement for membership is the desire to stop using drugs.
Meetings are conducted all over Australia, and take place every day of the year, including public holidays. You can view meeting times on the NA website.
