Odyssey House

Odyssey House offers support, assessment and referral services for people with alcohol and other drug problems including community counselling and residential rehabilitation programs.

Odyssey House Victoria is a state-wide, specialist treatment organisation dedicated to improving the lives of individuals who experience significant or long-term problems from alcohol and other drug use.

Odyssey House was created in 1977 as a residential rehabilitation program for people with drug and alcohol addiction. Central to the Odyssey philosophy was the conviction that a new, drug-free lifestyle could be created through self-discovery, behavioural change and new relationships, and that this could be achieved within a supportive residential community environment founded on mutual respect and responsibility.

Odyssey House services include:

  • Assessment
  • Counselling Support - face-to-face, online or phone
  • Residential Rehabilitation
  • Youth and family services
  • Education and training
  • Drink and drug driver behaviour training program

Odyssey House Victoria’s adult residential rehabilitation program provides live-in treatment for individuals, couples and parents with their children (aged 0-12). Operating as a therapeutic community, the values-based program provides a structured environment where up to 143 residents and 30 staff work together to help people make changes and choices on their pathway to recovery.

This service is available to anyone residing in Melbourne's Inner East, Outer East and South East catchment areas including Boroondara, Manningham, Monash, Whitehorse, Maroonda, Knox, Yarra Ranges, Greater Dandenong or Cardinia.

There may be fees associated with this service.
