Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association (VAADA) - Training
The Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association Inc. (VAADA) comprises of agencies in the alcohol and drug field that help to collate the latest up to date information, publications and training events for professionals.
The Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association Inc. (VAADA) is a peak organisation, which aims to reduce the harms associated with alcohol and other drug (AOD) use within the Victorian community.
VAADA’s membership comprises of agencies working in the AOD field, as well as those individuals who are involved in, or have a specific interest in, prevention, treatment, rehabilitation or research that minimises the harms caused by alcohol and other drugs.
Training for Professionals:
VAADA runs training programs for AOD workers to best respond to comorbid AOD and mental health conditions based on the most up to date evidence based information.
Participants will learn how to adapt and expand on their existing skills to assist clients to manage their mental health symptoms and participate in AOD treatment. Participants will deepen their understanding of comorbidity, build knowledge and confidence and skill in responding effectively.

The latest up to date information and latest publications on AOD in Victoria.
