Workin’ with the Mob
Workin' with the Mob is a specialist therapy service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families to help them resolve worries, make relationships stronger, and support healing.
Workin' with the Mob is a culturally safe family therapy service led by a team of First Nations and non First Nations therapists that supports healing and strong family relationships for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their families.
Support is available for:
- the effects of past family violence
- acquired brain injury (which might be undiagnosed)
- the effects of complex trauma and other serious mental health issues
- alcohol and other drug issues
- sexual abuse
- vulnerable children and those living in out of home care
- Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal grandparents and foster carers caring for Aboriginal children
- losses and trauma across the generations, and the grief and loss experienced by Stolen Generation survivors.
This service is located at The Bouverie Centre in Brunswick however they offer a single session family centered (SSFC) outreach model for some families.
Eligibility Criteria
This service is for families where any member of the family identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

This is a free service.
