Youth Projects - Mental Health Counselling
Youth Projects The Living Room is a primary health service that provides free healthcare and counselling support to improve the physical mental and social well-being of young adults.
Youth Projects is an independent, registered charity which provides front line support to young people and individuals experiencing disadvantage, unemployment, homelessness, alcohol and other drug issues.
Through 'The Living Room', Youth Projects provides free, confidential, and non-judgement primary healthcare and mental health support for young people in a safe and caring environment.
Youth Projects provides access to a Mental Health Nurse who provides assessment and management of mental health concerns, amongst others, for young people. Some of these issues may include:
- Care coordination
- Medication administration
- Relapse prevention and medications
- Referrals to medical, psychiatric, and other relevant healthcare providers
- Education around mental illness, physical health, and wellness
Eligibility Criteria
The mental health counselling service is for anyone aged 12-25 years old.
